Ride Details
Come along for a scenic fall ride through Bear Mountain State Park up to the peak of Bear Mountain. The road to the peak is a technical, twisty road. The views should be stunning with the fall foliage at or near their peak color. After we descend the mountain we'll make our way to Route 218, a beautiful very twisty road that hugs the edge of Storm King Mountain above the Hudson River. This stretch of road has been described as Hawks Nest on steroids. Lunch will be in Newburgh, NY at Billy Joe's Ribworks on their outdoor deck right above the Hudson River. We'll return on 9W, Seven Lakes Drive and then take the 87 to the GSP for the ride home. NOTE: This is Category 3 technical ride. Riders should be comfortable riding on some very twisty, narrow mountain roads. Riders should also be comfortable riding at highway speeds on I-87 and the GSP. Probably not a ride for novice riders.
