This is a Blue Knights escorted ride across Staten Island and over the Verazano Narrows Bridge into Brooklyn and out to historic Floyd Bennet Field, home of the NYPD Aviation Unit. We’ll be able to watch demonstrations of the Aviation unit’s impressive capabilities. Photo op with helicopter and armored vehicles. Air/Sea Rescue demonstration. Movie about NYPD pilots killed in the line of duty.....then a short presentation to their surviving families.

Coffee/Danish/Bagels on arrival. Lunch is served: Italian Hero, American Hero, Mac / Potato Salad, soda /water. Everything is free, but there is a donation barrel. All money goes to the Widows and Orphans of the officers that were killed. Everyone can give whatever they’re comfortable with.....no pressure.

Departure Time: 8:15 :00 AM - Please arrive 15-30 minutes early (with a full tank and an empty bladder) for the pre-ride briefing and sign-up. THIS WILL BE AN ESCORTED RIDE, SO THE PRE-RIDE BRIEFING IS VERY IMPORTANT.

Meal Information
Meal break: NYPD to provide breakfast and lunch.
Cost if fixed price: Free will donation to NYPD Widows and Orphans fund. No pressure, give what you feel comfortable with.

This is a Closed Event. Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. There are two types of activities:

  1. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member. Non-members considering joining the Chapter may ride as a guest of another member.

  2. Open Events are those Chapter events to open to Chapter members, National H.O.G. members and other guests as desired.
